Halloween Rice Krispie Treats are perfect to celebrate the most spooktacular month of the year. This homemade treat is perfect for an after school snack, Halloween parties, and to share with neighbors and friends! I love how easy they are to make and my kids love how yummy they are!
I love Halloween! I love having little special things during the entire month of October to celebrate this fun holiday.
These festive Rice Krispie Treats are one of my kids’ favorite snack.
Here is the recipe!
- 10 Cups of Rice Krispie Cereal
- 1 Bag { 10 oz } Mini Marshmallows
- ¼ Cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Black Food Coloring
- ¼ Cup Black Candy Melts
- Halloween Sprinkles
- In a large saucepan, heat butter, marshmallows, and vaniilla until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Turn to low heat and add the food coloring. Keep mixing until the entire mixture turns dark.
- Remove from heat, add cereal, and stir to coat well.
- Press mixture onto wax paper or greased pan.
- Melt the candy melts in the microwave and use the tip of a spoon to drizzle on top of the krispie treats. Add the sprinkles before the candy melts dry.
- Let cool and then cut into bars.
- Enjoy!
I like to serve them with cold milk. To make the ring of a cup or bottle more special simply dip the ring in melted chocolate or candy melts.
Before the chocolate dries dip it in colorful sprinkles… Isn’t it cute?
Fun to make and fun to eat!
